Our home is whimsical and bright, and perfect for combining explorations of Stockholm with relaxation in nature. The style is what a friend calls Seattle chic revealing my hometown roots. All around there is plenty to do. At night when youre done seeing it all, you can watch the sunset from the balcony sofa and breathe in fresh pine scent from the wooded picnic area just outside. The area is full of nature-lovers and culture enthusiasts. Within a 10-minute radius, you have the Nacka nature reserve (with a chain of lakes and excellent hiking trails), a large sports arena, a free outdoor swimming pool, a nonprofit movie theatre, Tur Teater (with funky plays), and your choice of local cafes, restaurants and grocery stores. There are also a couple of outdoor gyms. In less than 30 minutes by subway or bus you can reach the city. In the apartment there are plenty of places to sleep. There is a king-sized bed in the master bedroom. In the smaller kids room there is a double loft bed and a single bed underneath. The couch in the living room has a hidden bed sofa. A few caveats about our home. The building is from the 1940s, built in a functional style. Its simple. There is no air conditioning and it can get warm. Also, I have a Jack Russell dog. I keep the apartment clean, but you may still find evidence of him. Finally, the subway runs behind my house. You can hear it from the master bedroom. In the building next door, you will find a laundry room with industrial-sized machines. The apartment has plenty of linens and towels for you and your guests. You are most welcome to feel at home.
